about us
Bingley Medical Practice is an NHS GP surgery - the largest in Bingley, providing 12,000 local people with comprehensive, high quality health care.
We offer a full range of GP services, but also several special ones including on site blood tests, ECG’s, minor surgery, and direct access to GP specialists in skin conditions, and sports and joint problems.
We are also a teaching practice, educating both medical students from the University of Leeds, and doctors training to become GPs.
We are proud of our high quality care: we have achieved 100% scores in the NHS Quality & Outcomes Framework for the past few years, and were the first Bingley surgery to be awarded the Quality Practice Award by the Royal College of GPs.
We are highly rated by our patients too: you can read our results in the regular GP Patient surveys here.
We are based at the purpose built Canalside Health Care Centre, and serve Bingley, Gilstead, Eldwick, Cottingley, Crossflatts, East Morton and Riddlesden.
accessibility
The practice is situated in a modern building with facilities for those with mobility or sensory issues or other needs. There is plentiful disabled parking at the front entrance and the building is fully wheelchair accessible. There is a patient lift to use between floors if required. We have a hearing aid induction loop at reception and staff able to support patients with visual or hearing impairments. If English is not your first language an interpreter can be arranged to support you during your appointment. If you have any additional needs regarding accessing care then please let our patient assistant team know and we will do our best to support you.
named GP
All patients are allocated a "named GP", as required by NHS England. This does not alter how your care is delivered, and you can continue to see whichever doctor you prefer. If you wish to amend your "named GP" then please ask our Reception team.
